No one will love you more than a shelter pet who you've rescued and brought into your home. They're often the sweetest, most lovable animals, and they're extra grateful to have a forever home. Instead of shivering on a concrete floor in the shelter, they get to curl up on your warm couch and bask in the sunlight. What could be better?

Some shelters take a fun tactic of allowing people to give their animals some striking names. Some are funny, some perhaps hastily assigned, and others are clearly the work of children. Alongside their names, shelter workers hastily snap a photo of the pet, and sometimes they don't get a second chance to "smile" for the camera. There are so many animals in the world who need a loving home with a family to call their own, and if a hilarious name like "Big Papa Huge Time" or "Calamari Extravaganza" helps even one animal find their home, then it's all worth it.
